 Hello!Welcome to Oh So Retro. Oh So Retro is a one woman sewing empire based out of a little apartment in Winnipeg, MB Canada. Armed with retro fabrics and a sewing machine I create handbags, wallets, card cases, clothing and many other fun accessories for my indie shop. I started Oh So Retro back in 2004 as a vintage clothing boutique. Eventually I began making purses out of salvaged fabric from floor length gowns and much-too-small tweed skirts and soon enough the bags started outselling the clothing! Thanks to Etsy, I went from part time seamstress to full time designer in the spring of 2006 and am enjoying a modest success that allows me to feed my fabric obsessions. As an admitted shopaholic, most of my profits go right back into Etsy! I collect vintage fabrics of course, as well as tea pots, shoes, photographs, 1980s crafting magazines, ACEOs, Blythe doll knock offs (I will own the real deal one day!) and lip balm. Randy runs his own design company called Damn the Design. We believe creativity is the key and we are trying to make this world a better place as best we can. |
